Coffee And Grandkids

There is so much joy in waking up to the aroma of coffee brewing but more so is hearing the little voices of grandkids.

I enjoy the visits and having the grandkids scampering around the house, climbing up on my lap, walks around the yard and sitting and discussing the joys of life (though they are still too young to understand).

They grow up fast and soon the simple way of their small world will expand and try to consume them. Giving them moments to remember, making them laugh and call your name hopefully will some how keep them young forever, at least in my memories.

So I sit here with my cup of coffee waiting for the little sounds after awakening from their nap.

A French Roast Coffee Is Great!

Do you ever have those days where two or even three cups of coffe just don't seem to get you to the end of the day? Well I found out how you can get your fill of coffee and make it through to the end.

I recently changed from a light roast coffee to a french roast coffee and wow! What difference. First let me say that I love a great french roast coffee with just the right amount of creme brulee. It has just enought sweetness to cut the strength of the french roast coffee making it a perfect cup of coffee. My problem has been in the coffee brewing process. I have been use to putting just the right amount of light roast coffee and now the french roast coffee takes much less to get the same strength.

All things considered, I do think the french roast coffee is much better than the light roast thought if not careful, it can give you that bit of an extra cafeinee boost. But then again, if your cup of coffee is what you like, keep on drinking. For me, it's now the french roast coffee in my cup.

What Is It About Coffee?

What is it about coffee? Just what makes coffee such a popular drink? Some say the caffeine, others will say the taste, and even others will say that drinking coffee will stunt your growth. Me? I simply say if you like it drink it.

It is true that the caffeine in your coffee will give you a bit of a jolt in the mornings but I still maintain that we drink coffee because we like it. Why does there need to be any other reason? After all, we wouldn't drink coffee or anything else if we didn't.

That brings us to the question as to which is the best coffee. Light roast, french roast, dark roast, with sugar and cream or simply black coffee. I like the french roast coffee with flavored creams. Regardless of what type of coffee you choose to drink, it all comes down to what tastes good to you.

The effects of coffee and the caffeine jolt can temporarily boost alertness, increase performance and may even improve concentration. Some people feel the “buzz” or the effects of coffee (caffeine) more than others. You should listen to your body and know when to say no to that extra cup of coffee. Just because your friend says he can drink all the coffee he wants and never feel the effects of coffee, doesn’t mean that the effect of coffee and caffeine will be the same for you.

Most research seems to suggest that drinking one to three cups of coffee a day will not cause you to feel any negative effects of coffee, at least in healthy people. However, pregnant women, children and people with heart disease are among those who should not drink coffee, as the effect of coffee and caffeine could have adverse effects.

One should be aware that the caffeine content of coffee varies widely depending on roasting and brewing methods as well as how much coffee you are drinking. This can produce a wide range of the effects of coffee.

Coffee is the main source of caffeine for many people and the effects of coffee and caffeine can be increased if one drinks other sources of caffeine such as sodas, tea, and chocolate.

If you are a regular coffee drinker and you skip your daily java fix, you may experience temporary “caffeine withdrawal” which could result in the form of a headache. These symptoms of the effects of coffee normally go away within 24-48 hours after another dose of coffee with caffeine.
